01 — Challenge

What We Were Asked to Solve

Biesterfeld, the international distribution partner for plastics and additives representing a portfolio of global chemical principals including LG Chem, Celanese, LyondellBasell, ExxonMobil, BASF, Idemitsu, SK Chemicals, Delrin, Denka, Nurel, LX MMA, Previnil, Syensqo, Westlake, and CHIMEI, needed a 36 sqm exhibition stand at Plast Alger 2024, Algeria's leading plastics, packaging, and petrochemicals trade show held at the SAFEX Exhibition Centre in Algiers. The stand had to establish Biesterfeld's credibility as North Africa's distribution partner for plastics and additives to an audience of industrial buyers, converters, and manufacturers, while clearly communicating the full roster of principal brands the company represents in the region.

How We Delivered It

EFFECT Global designed a clean, corporate stand built around Biesterfeld's grey, white, and signature red palette. A bold red-panelled entrance bay, lit with recessed ceiling spots, anchors the design and draws visitors in from the aisle. The centrepiece is a large backlit graphic wall headlined "Your distribution partner for plastics and additives in North Africa," displaying the full network of principal brands in a hexagonal grid, positioning Biesterfeld as the trusted link between global chemical manufacturers and the North African market. A wall-mounted screen supports product and corporate video content, while a lounge zone with a grey upholstered sofa, accent chairs, and a glass coffee table, alongside informal high tables and white stacking chairs, gives the team space for both quick conversations and seated meetings. Illuminated Biesterfeld signage, including a suspended sign box over the stand and a standalone hexagonal totem at the aisle entrance dressed with greenery, reinforces brand visibility across the exhibition floor. The stand was produced over 8 to 10 days on a modular aluminium extrusion frame, with the backlit principal-brand graphic wall, illuminated signage, and red feature panelling fabricated and pre-fitted before transport to Algiers. On-site installation at the SAFEX Exhibition Centre was completed in 2 days by the EFFECT Global team, on schedule and to specification.
